Bratwurst

Tonight for dinner we had brats. Simple, quick, easy. Unfortunately, I don't have any picture for you, but I think you'll find that these are easy to do on your own. Firstly, poke holes in them. You don't want them to explode on you as they heat up. They will, so make sure to poke holes on both sides! Forks are great for this. Next, I put my oven on broil. This heats them up quicker and cooks them faster. You're probably supposed to move the rack, but I don't. I generally leave the rack in the middle. This seems to work for me. I've found that all sides of the food cook evenly this way. I don't know. When I put it on broil, I set it on high. I think you can probably use a low setting, but I assume that this would take a bit longer. I don't use the broil setting very much. Spaghetti

Hey y'all. Tonight I made spaghetti for dinner. Sounds simple right? Well let me tell you. I'm about to brag a bit because it is freaking delicious.  Here's the deal. I love to dress up my sauce. Anything that will compliment a tomato flavor usually goes in, in moderation. I've made spaghetti so many times, but I like making it a little differently each time.  One of my new favorite things is adding steamed vegetables to the sauce. It gives it much more substance and sticks with you longer, plus you're getting vegetables without the overwhelming vegetable taste!
